Architecture After Disaster

The number of people that have been forced to flee their homes has reached a post-war peak of 60 million, one third of whom had to leave their country. From that apocalyptic statistic, designers cannot just stand by and watch as the refugee crisis unfolds.

However, architects cannot save the world, but even the smallest intervention by Humanitarianism could help those refugees stay away from homeless.

“So I am not improving the environment, I am just looking for something missing. Some people Take care of majority of people, but my aim is looking for somebody who has, the smaller group of people, who has some particular problems, which cannot be solved by the government. Because I cannot do as much as you think, I have to go there to look for some particular people who have particular problems.” Said by Shigeru Ban after 2008 Sichuan earthquake.

“Architecture after disaster”, is look for what they need.
