Reborn of chinese old buildings

Urban development is an ongoing dynamic process of renewal and change, in this process of metabolism, how to deal with the existing old building has become a serious problem. These are not only including some historic buildings which are in the national protection list, but also including those buildings which are exists however the functions, the facilities, appearance can not meet current needs. What we can do for these buildings and what we can learn from that historical buildings is becoming a issue for our architects in now days. This thesis aim to find some breaches from existing technology, building ways and even the laws to get these old, historical building out of their ruined life and find their new uses.
