{"id":445,"date":"2016-09-23T11:38:13","date_gmt":"2016-09-23T03:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesis.arch.hku.hk\/2016\/?p=445"},"modified":"2016-10-15T07:35:34","modified_gmt":"2016-10-14T23:35:34","slug":"after-life-of-nuclear-power-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thesis.arch.hku.hk\/2016\/after-life-of-nuclear-power-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"After life of Nuclear Power Plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nuclear power plants were made to have a life span of 40-50 years of operation. \u00a0However unforeseen cost of other competitive power generating plants and rapid technology advancement, older generation nuclear power plants are not economically feasible, leading to early\u00a0process of decommissioning.\u00a0 The process of decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plants are well thought-out by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
