These camps often are not as temporary as they were constructed for. Kleinschmidt states \u2018<em>These are the cities of tomorrow<\/em>.\u2019 And that \u2018<em>The average stay today in a camp is 17 years.<\/em>\u2019 Refugee camps bring together many different ethnicities and nationalities, all living in very close approximation to each other.
