Water, had given weight to the city\u2019s economy and had raised many generations. The fishing industry possessed 90% of the city\u2019s population in 1960\u2019s and reached its peak in 1980\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>However, following the city\u2019s development, the economic center shifted to industry, import &amp; export trading, and then commercial &amp; financial sector. The extended demand on land due to development has resulted in loss of water area and destroy of water ecology. Over the past few decades, almost 7,000 hectares of our waters is lost to reclamation, uncountable amount of marine species have lost their homes, and the fishing &amp; associated industries obscured which the remaining of fishermen dropped to only 0.1% of total population. The water loses its value.<\/p>\n<p>Possibility on reprofile, revalue and revival of water will be explored in this paper.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Hong Kong is a coastal city abundant in natural marine resources.
