The future of mid rise buildings with neon signage (a vernacular outlook)

1) FUTURE OF  MIDRISE BUILDINGS WITH NEON SIGNAGE

2) Overextended neon signage is a local identity for Hong Kong. Its fantastic colors draws the eye and never ceases to amaze. But due to the exaggerated cantilever that made it so sensational, the dangerous structure for these additive neon signs  have become an issue; obstructing tenants’ views and putting pedestrians beneath at risk. Looking into the future of mid rise buildings with neon signage in limited to the local identity of HK, I want to design a mid rise building in Mong Kok with signage well integrated onto its facade; satisfying A) tenants of the buildings, B) not putting pedestrians that walk beneath at risk and C) keeping neon signs fantastic.
