Regeneration of heavy industry of western China

The ”Western Development”, the policy proposed by Dei Xiaoping has been undergoing already for 2 decades. During this period, Western China has developed a large number of heavy industries which relied on the nature resources.

However, In my view, nowadays the strategy of development of western China should shift from Resource-relied model to Marketing-relied model because many of the heavy industries like gas and coal industry, have been abandoned because the resource of that area has been used out. In addition, many exhausted resource pits is left untreated.

Since the western China occupy 2/3 land of China ad has great landscape. It can be a valuable place for dwelling, tourism and marketing.

Therefore, I intended to regenerate the abandoned heavy industry for dwelling or tourism as a sustainable way to keep develop the west China.
